Dr. David Taft was born and raised in Los Angeles. He attended UCLA undergraduate and achieved a bachelor of arts in psychology. After two years at the USC School of Pharmacy, he was accepted and graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1982. He has maintained a private solo practice for 25 years in Santa Monica.
Dr. Taft specializes in cosmetic dentistry which includes porcelain veneers, hi-noble captek crowns and flowable composite resin fillings. Along with tooth colored fillings, Dr. Taft also offers at home bleachings to give your teeth their maximum whiteness. Dr. Taft has performed over 2500 extractions. This oral surgery includes removal of root tips, broken teeth and most wisdom teeth extractions including partially bony impacted third molars. Dr. Taft has also performed over 1500 root canal therapies. He is also experienced in placing permanent implant crown restorations for I.T.I. dental implants. Emergency services are available. The office is open evenings and some Saturdays.
